I’ll go first (although sadly I’m not allowed to win)…

We follow Mr Proud and Miss Prejudiced as they engage in a rocky courtship in this gently humorous, and very entertaining, study of the mores and manners of 19th century middle-class life.  (Pride and Prejudice)

Your turn!

  1. Imagine a less judgmental and sarcastic Holden Caulfield who has a greater potential to break your heart with touching moments of awkward adolescence. Yep, you’ve got it. This is his story. (Perks of Being a Wallflower)

  2. As the race for survival gets smaller, Katniss Everdeen and what is left of her district flee from the grasp of the Capital, to the new world created below the devastated district 13. As she battles for everyone`s freedom, she also fights for her lost love ones, family, friends and allies. {Mocking jay ,Suzanne Collins}

  3. ROOM by Bright Donahue
    Young Jack’s storey of his captivity with his Mum in the “Room” will enthral you from the first page.
    Do they escape = read it !

    • Maureen, I loved that book so much! Couldn’t put it down and finished it in 2 sittings. Not usually the kind of subject matter I like to read, but so many friends recommended it that I had to give it a go. And I’m glad I did! – Jodie P
