Local photographer Terri Sharpe is the latest emerging artist to have work featured in the Margaret River Library’s foyer space, The Cocoon Gallery.
Terri has over twenty years of surf culture photographs captured between the Capes, spanning from the early 90’s to today.
With literally thousands of images at her disposal, she published a surfing guide in 1999 called Waxed: A Guide to Surfing Hot Spots in South Western Australia, and another in 2014 with her surfing partner Jason Reynolds, called Surfing Margaret River: Cape to Cape Guide.
This Cocoon exhibition gives her a chance to show people just how spectacular this stretch of our coastline can be.
“We tend to almost take this area for granted – sometimes it’s nice to be reminded just how lucky and privileged we are to live in such a unique and inspiring place,” she said.
“My works will be on sale in the lead up to Christmas.”
“Surfing Margaret River” commences on 1 December 2016 and runs until 1 February 2017.
