The library is very pleased to present Verity Haines into The Cocoon with her exhibition titled “For what it’s worth”, which is on display until May 31.
She uses a range of mixed media, colour and pattern within her artworks. She enjoys creating paintings that mimic textile and the patterns we see in textiles. This is a small but vibrant exhibition bringing forth a sense of style and spontaneity. Each of the works are finished with a hand crafted wood frame and are for sale.
The Cocoon gallery is situated in the entrance to the library so have a look next time you are visiting. Feel free to sign the visitor register and offer some feedback.
This is the first year The Cocoon is being used as a venue for the Margaret River Region Open Studios and we hope that visitors to Verity’s exhibition will also take the time to browse the Margaret River Library, view the garden courtyard and perhaps stay for a cuppa. Verity is number 80 in the Open Studios catalogue on page 40.
