Your TAKEAWAY LIBRARY has arrived – Click & Collect is here at last!

The Margaret River Library welcomed the community back into the library from Tuesday 26 May, and Augusta Library is open from the 4 August (click here for the new opening days and hours) – but we will continue to offer Click & Collect to our community.

Patrons can use Click & Collect via any of these 3 methods:

1 – Log in, search the catalogue, and place a Hold directly. Click here to go directly to the catalogue.ย Never placed a Hold via the catalogue before? Click here for instructions.

2 – Send an email to us with your request. Please let us know your name, phone number and your pick-up branch. Send your email to: amrlibraries@gmail.com

3 – Call us on 9780 5600. We’ll assist you to place holds on specific items. If you’re not sure what you want, we are happy to bundle up a selection based on your area of interest.

Once your items are ready for collection, you’ll receive an automated email and/or SMS notifying you that the item is ready for pick-up. Please ensure we have your correct contact details so you don’t miss out on this important notice!

You can then come to the library during open hours, and either:

  • Come inside, collect your item from the Hold shelf, and check it out to yourself; or
  • Come to the back door, ring the doorbell (knock for Augusta) and staff will check the item out and hand it to you.

  1. Hi everyone,
If you have ever seen that FB post that says, โ€œIt was never a frockโ€ you have picked up on the SuperWoman post.
    Again, we all salute you.
    Thanks so much.
    Stay well, take care
And see you on the roundabout.
    Warm regards

  2. Wow what amazing team! This is such a great service for the community. Our little boy already misses our library exchange and has read current books many times over. Thank you!

  3. Well done & thank u so much 4 your care & support of our community.
    Many Many Thanks
    Leanne

  4. Wow! This is fantastic, what a great idea. We stocked up on a few books before the closure, but not enough for the predicted length of time this will go for. Really glad we’ll still be able to get our book fix.

Just checking – we are able to return the books we have via the chute?

    1. Yes, all books can be returned via the chute. We quarantine all returned items for 10 days before handling them, so they won’t come off your membership straight away. This won’t prevent us from issuing more items to you should you request them ๐Ÿ™‚ Note that we are currently automatically renewing all items (that are already on loan) up to 30 June, and you can ignore any reminder notices that may slip through while we work through this process. No admin fees will apply to overdue items during the closure period.

  5. thank you thank you thank you ๐Ÿ™ my heart was broken when I missed the closure by only a few hours ๐Ÿ’” so grateful for all your hard work setting this up ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ‘

  6. Thank you for your efforts, with the library work itself and also in keeping the spirit of this dear place alive for us all…

  7. Well I finally got around to making a request and ordered a book. You are supplying a fantastic service, how lucky we are to have such dedication. Well done all.

  8. Thanks to all the dedicated library staff. You really know and understand your community. One young boy told me that you picked a few books for him that you chose based on his previous books borrowed. He is enjoying all of the books you picked for him! He loves it!
So, thank you for continuing to keep in touch with what this very varied community wants and needs.
