Shire’s libraries are working towards accreditation as an eSmart Library Service.
As part of this initiative we are providing easy access to a wide range of resources to assist you to:
- Develop your online skills – including self-paced courses tailored for Senior citizens
- Improve your online awareness of scams, cyber-attacks and other online threats
- Improve online safety for your children and yourself
- Have a better understanding of online bullying and how to report it (for all ages)
- And heaps more, including issues around illegal behaviour, copyright issues and inappropriate content
Links to these resources can be found on your library website, in both the general and the youth Online Resources pages:

We are very excited about the range of new titles now available on our cloudLibrary e-book service.
For the next couple of weeks, we are offering quick 3 minute Cloud Library installation demos on request.
Ask one of our friendly staff to show you just how easy it is to install cloudLibrary to a mobile phone or tablet. We will use our library device to give you a very brief demo that includes:
- Installing the app
- Borrowing an e-book
- Changing the font size
- Returning an e-book
We’ll also give you a printed guide to take home so that you can install the cloudLibrary app to your own device (and explore the many features) at your leisure.
Did you know that your cloudLibrary e-books will sync across all your devices? That means you can log into cloudLibrary on your laptop, borrow an e-book – and then, when you log in from your mobile device, it will already be there waiting for you.
We have 3 x $100 vouchers for Surf Pro merchandise to give away as prizes!
Fill out an entry form at the Augusta or Margaret River Libraries to go into the draw.
Winners notified on 30th March.
Note – winners must go to the event to claim the items, in order to select colours and sizes 🙂
Come to Augusta Library on Thursday March 9th at 10.30am for stories, songs, rhymes, craft and morning tea – especially for Toddlers aged 18 to 36 months.

We hope to see you at Augusta Library soon!
We are pleased to let our community know that we now offer hundreds of popular e-books through the cloudLibrary digital lending platform. Offered at no cost to library patrons, all that’s needed to get started is an active library card.
We add new titles to our digital collection regularly, and welcome suggestions from our patrons. Add a comment to this blog post if you’d like to register your suggestions with us.
