Celebrating 5 years since the Margaret River Library redevelopment!

Today is exactly 5 years since we re-opened the Margaret River Library after a redevelopment that saw the library double in size.

The West wing was built, and the Outdoor Library Garden was created. The staff area was pushed back into the old Child Health Clinic, and the Junior area expanded into the old staff rooms.

Our Sorter was installed, allowing staff the freedom to move around the library as we no longer had to manually check-in every item returned.

If you would like to take a trip down Memory Lane, click here to view some ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots, including pictures of the building process. We think you’ll be amazed at how much smaller the library used to be…!

More pictures can be seen at the display at the Margaret River Library, and as you scroll down this post.

We are giving away free cuppas to celebrate this month. Come in and check out our display for more details.

  1. Well what a surprise to come into the library to find we are celebrating five years of these well thought out and designed additions which have improved conditions for the staff and a huge variety of added opportunities and options for all of our community and visitors to utilize, relax and enjoy themselves.
Love this library with a very happy staff where nothing is to much for them to assist us all with.
Many thanks to all of you who made these extensions happen.
Oh yes, loved the treats to celebrate in true birthday style.
    Very grateful
