Dr Levitt is a specialist colorectal surgeon with a particular interest in the management of functional bowel disorders such as constipation, incontinence and irritable bowel syndrome. He has recently been appointed as WA’s Chief Medical Officer.
This is Dr Levitt’s third book about bowel function but the first to gain a widespread readership. He has spoken about wanting to use a more accessible voice with this book and his writing style is clear, engaging and light-hearted.

Yesterday at local library – June 2021- was first time I heard of The Bowel Book. As a sufferer of flare- ups, I was thrilled to read each page and chapter.
