The Happy Bowel – a book talk by Dr Michael Levitt

Saturday 31st August, 2 – 3pm at the Margaret River Library

Dr Levitt is a specialist colorectal surgeon with a particular interest in the management of functional bowel disorders such as constipation, incontinence and irritable bowel syndrome. He has recently been appointed as WA’s Chief Medical Officer.

This is Dr Levitt’s third book about bowel function but the first to gain a widespread readership. He has spoken about wanting to use a more accessible voice with this book and his writing style is clear, engaging and light-hearted.

Copies of his book: ‘The Happy Bowel: a user-friendly guide to bowel health for the whole family’ will be available for purchase on the day with the Margaret River Bookshop in attendance.

  1. Yesterday at local library – June 2021- was first time I heard of The Bowel Book. As a sufferer of flare- ups, I was thrilled to read each page and chapter. I had found ,at last, ( now in my mid 70’s, one person who ‘understood. AND gave practical down to earth advice, without having to resort to medications.. Now, to put it into my regime.
