After 30 years in a distinguished career in the Australian Army, Gary is now pursuing his second career as a full-time writer and freelance historian. He will be talking about his books and how he uses his oral history technique as the basis for his research. Gary is the author of ‘On patrol with the SAS’; ‘Firefighters’, ‘All guts and no glory’, ‘With Healing Hands – The untold story of Australian civilian surgical teams in Vietnam’, ‘Australia’s Battlefields In Viet Nam – A Traveller’s Guide’ and many more.
