Alec O’Halloran is the author of ‘The master from Marnpi’, the authorised biography of Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri, a Pintupi man who became an award-winning Papunya Tula artist. Last year marked  the 50^th anniversary of the beginning of his exemplary art career at Papunya (NT) in 1971 and this year marks the 50^th anniversary of the founding of the Western Desert art movement, of which Namarari was a founding member and leading exponent. Join us in hearing about Alec’s journey in writing this biography and experiencing his knowledge of this art movement in Australia.
