Join Dr. Sharron Spargo at the Margaret River Library as she shares unique service stories of the “Birdies” The Australian Fleet Air Arm.

The “Birdies” worked in challenging conditions, launching and landing their fixed wing aircrafts, often in horrendous weather conditions. Sharron shares personal stories of those who served in front line action and during humanitarian missions. Sharron is passionate about collecting and sharing the oral histories of naval and aviation armed forces which formed the basis of her PhD dissertation as well as her book.
Light refreshments will be served after the talk with a chance to chat with Sharron and purchase a signed copy of her book.
