If you are over 10 years old and love books, come to Book Chat at Margaret River Library this Monday at 4.30pm for recommended reads and fun book related activities.

Come to your local public library this school holidays for fun, free activities such as Lego Club, Bunting Making and Teen Face food workshops. Bookings are essential as places are limited, phone Margaret River Library on 9780 5600 or Augusta Library 9780 5670 now to reserve a spot.


Library members can stream up to 4 items per month with Kanopy – but Kanopy Kids content is unlimited!

All those aged 18 to 36 months are welcome at Augusta Library to join us for Toddler Tales this Thursday 13th June at 10.30am. Bookings are essential as spaces are limited, please call 9780 5602 to reserve a place. 

Book Bandicoots is a new program for kids over 8 years old who love reading and visiting their local public library. Each time a child borrows a book they receive a stamp on their Book Bandicoots card and after 10 visits and completing a book review, the card can then be used as a voucher to the Margaret River Bookshop. Book Bandicoots is a perfect graduation for those who have completed Reading Rabbits or just want to be rewarded for reading for fun.
Book Bandicoots is a partnership between the Shire of Augusta Margaret River Libraries, Rotary Club of Margaret River and the Margaret River Bookshop.

BBC’s MUZZY helps young children to learn Italian, French, Spanish, Korean, Chinese or German – and is free for all library members.

Congratulations to Jessica, who found a silver feather amongst the junior fiction books at Margaret River Library recently.
Jessica has won a signed book from an author at the Scribblers Festival in Claremont, as part of the Golden Feather Hunt.

There are still some feathers left to be found, come to your local public library to join in the hunt!

Kanopy films are available to library patrons free of charge. SLWA holds the subscription, which allows public library patrons to stream up to 4 movies per membership per month.
Kanopy features a dedicated ‘KIDS’ section, featuring streamed content to entertain your young ones, and help them learn and grow.
If you haven’t yet set up your Kanopy account, you can find instructions here.
To explore Kanopy Kids, simply log in to your Kanopy account, then click on the KIDS tab at the top.
You can browse kid-friendly TV series, movies, and even documentaries about science and maths.

Tumblebook Library is an easy-to-use online resource to educate and entertain children.
The read-along functionality can also be useful for adults who are learning to read English.
