Amy is a young New Zealander who has fallen in love with Australian wildlife. Passionate about art she has been drawing since she was a young child.
Her exhibition features quirky depictions of animals, mammals and insects exploring dot work, black pen on paper.
Amy has always been interested producing art that is outside the box. This is why she has called her exhibition DUST. “Dust meaning dots.”
Art calms Amy’s mind “It’s like being in a loud room then as soon as my pen hits the paper the room is quiet and peaceful.”
These framed pen and ink drawings can be viewed in the entry to the Margaret River Library Cocoon Gallery space until the end of June and all artworks are for sale directly from the artist.

In this exhibition Jan has sought and found her happy place. She has created mixed media works with a focus on the Cyanotype printing technique which uses the sun and elements of leaves and flowers from the local environment.
Jan has dabbled with art over the years but more recently in retirement, she has found time to really explore more fully her favourite mediums and creative processes.
In working towards this exhibition Jan has discarded perfectionism and found expression through her appreciation of the patterns, form, texture and intricate beauty of nature. This exhibition finds her refining printmaking techniques and style to represent this.
“When a leaf drops from the tree in the forest, it is not done nor ‘over’. It continues to evolve and change the structure of its presence.” The works she presents in ‘Reflection’ is her interpretation of that evolution.
The exhibition can be viewed in the entry to the Margaret River Library Cocoon Gallery space until the end of April. Artworks can be purchased through the artist.

Join Dr. Sharron Spargo at the Margaret River Library as she shares unique service stories of the “Birdies” The Australian Fleet Air Arm.

Sharron is passionate about collecting and sharing the oral histories of naval and aviation armed forces which formed the basis of her PhD dissertation as well as her book.
