“Enchanted Child”: an exhibition by Andrea Gaisa

Andrea has loved drawing and painting from a young age. Art has been her refuge, her therapy and her place of (self) exploration throughout her life. She considers her style like that of “naive” and enjoys experimenting with a range of media with her main focus on acrylics and watercolours. This exhibition encompasses framed works on paper, wood panel and wood slabs. This current body of work focusses on the natural and magical. “Young children live in the magical realm. Everything they see is alive and full of wonder.” Andrea aspires to find her way back to such awe. Painting nature, fairies, magical creatures, thinking up mandalas; all these things enchant and excite her.
A launch event to celebrate Andrea’s achievement in presenting this exhibition is on 10th February, 6 – 7pm. RSVP your attendance to Andrea: Email: andrea.gabriela@icloud.com
The exhibition continues from 10 January until 28th February. The Cocoon Gallery is in the entrance to the Margaret River Library and is easily accessible.
