The Cocoon Gallery for Emerging Artists Welcomes Amy Thurston-Whiting

Dust: an exhibition by Amy Thurston-Whiting

Amy is a young New Zealander who has fallen in love with Australian wildlife. Passionate about art she has been drawing since she was a young child.

Her exhibition features quirky depictions of animals and mammals exploring dot work, black pen on paper.

Amy has always been interested in producing art that is outside the box. This is why she has called her exhibition DUST. “Dust meaning dots.”

Art calms Amy’s mind. “It’s like being in a loud room, then as soon as my pen hits the paper, the room is quiet and peaceful.”

These framed pen and ink drawings can be viewed in the entry to the Margaret River Library Cocoon Gallery space until the end of June and all artworks are for sale directly from the artist.
