Community members over 50 are invited to take part in the 2026 Young Mentors Program.
If you’d like friendly, one-on-one help to feel more confident with your phone, tablet or computer, this free program could be for you. You can learn at your own pace, focus on what matters to you and bring your own device so you can practise new skills straight away.
You’ll be paired with local Margaret River High School students, who can help with things like sending emails, using apps, managing device settings, and navigating the online world more safely.
People interested are required to attend an information session at the Margaret River Library on Wednesday 14 October at 10.15am. To register, please contact library on 08 9780 5600 or email abrawls@amrshire.wa.gov.au.
Anyone who would like to join the program will need to come along to this session first, so we can walk you through how it works and answer any questions.
Regular Young Mentors sessions will run on Wednesdays 28 October, 4 November, 18 November and 25 November from 10.15am to 11.45am.
Young Mentors was developed by eSafetyCommissioner as part of the Be Connected Young Mentors initiative.
