Plastic free July at the Library

The library is celebrating Plastic Free July with a competition. Just visit the library and put your details in the entry box. There are adult and children’s prizes so everyone has a chance to win. Prizes include wax wraps, go mugs, keep cups, water bottles, pack of metal straws, reusable lunch pockets, reusable produce bags and more. The Library Plastic Free July display encourages visitors to write their own ideas of how to reduce plastic use in the home. The idea goes on the display to inspire others. Winners notified at the end of July.

Did you know the library has a Boomerang Bag swap box? If you have had the pleasure of using a Boomerang Bag and have finished with it, you can recycle it at the library. If you are in the mood to learn to sew your own shopping bags the following events have been organised by Cape to Cape Plastic Free July.

Low Impact Living Session 2: declutter, dejunk and downsize to a small wardrobe

Thursday 5th July, 6 – 7:30pm at the Margaret River Library

RSVP here with EventBrite

Is your wardrobe taking over your mind? Your life? And all four rooms of your house? Time to Declutter, Dejunk and Downsize to a small wardrobe.

Join Patricia as she discusses her minimalist lifestyle and invites you to make steps towards reducing the size and impact of your wardrobe. She will take you through her capsule wardrobe and explain the value of quality over quantity and how to make mindful decisions about your wardrobe. Embracing a sustainable mindset by minimizing waste and engaging with positive benefits of a minimalist lifestyle.

Somewhere along the line, it seems we’ve been led to believe that our possessions are an extension of who we are. Whatever size your wardrobe, learn how to declutter and dejunk your fashion collection for a downsized version of the new YOU!

Leave this discussion with a clear idea of how little you REALLY need and how to sustainably get rid of the things that no longer spark joy!

Spaces limited, please RSVP using EventBrite with this link: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/low-impact-living-session-2-declutter-dejunk-and-downsize-to-a-small-wardrobe-tickets-47095800808
