Summer School holidays at your libraries

Sea creatures characters with Kylie Howarth

Discover how author Kylie Howarth creates her book illustrations and draw along as she shows you step-by-step how to draw some super sea creature characters. Then dive in and get your hands dirty as you experiment illustrating with charcoal.

This activity is best suited to children 6 years old and over. Bookings are essential as there are limited spaces.

The Augusta Library Lego Club also features craft activities for all ages.

Meet author Narelle Cridland

Come to a reading of Lorry the lorikeet meets Alice Springs, written and illustrated by Narelle Cridland. Meet the real Lorry the Lorikeet, join in the craft activities and book signings will also be available.

NewsXpress Margaret River

All school holiday activities are FREE at the Shire Libraries; however bookings are essential, and children must be accompanied by an adult for each session.

Regular Baby Rhyme Time, Storytime and Toddler Tales sessions take a break over school holidays and programs resume during school term, commencing Monday 31 January.

Change to Library hours on Friday 17th December

The Library will be closing early at 12.30pm on Friday 17th December for an all Shire staff event.

Open again on Saturday 18th December at 10am. We apologies for any inconvenience. Feel free to use the after-hours chute for your returns and access to our online services is available at amrlibraries.com

Meet local Financial Counsellor Morwenna Richardson to answer your finance questions in a judgement free space. Explore how to budget, check for spending leaks, useful tips and good credit vs bad credit. Morwenna is from Anglicare and explains all about the benefits of financial counselling and how to access one-on-one counselling sessions. Financial Counselling is for anyone seeking financial information. It is an inclusive service that is appropriate for people in a broad range of circumstances no matter where you live or how much you may earn.

All are welcome, we look forward to seeing you. Friday 3rd December, 10 – 11am at the Margaret River Library.

Thanks to our partners from Good Things Foundation, we are able to offer a series of one-on-one sessions to guide patrons on the ever-growing services available online. Please note we are able to offer one session per patron.
