Children’s Book of the Year shortlisted titles

Children’s Book Week and the annoucement of Children’s Book of the year is almost upon us.

Every year since 1946, Australia has celebrated Children’s Book Week with the aim of promoting quality literature for young people.

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (SA branch) have put together a video of the shortlisted Book of the Year titles, all of which are available to reserve on our library catalogue.

Enjoy!

Kids will then be invited to make some of the desert creatures discussed, using clay with artefacts gathered from the natural world to inspire them.
