Important information about Junior and Young Adult memberships

We want to let all parents know about a system change that will affect our Junior and Young Adult members.

Effective immediately, all Junior and Young Adult membership types will now be able to use their library cards to access the internet on our public PCs. The library wifi is also freely available and not restricted by age.

If you would prefer your child to not be able to log themselves onto a PC session, please ensure you supervise them at the libraries.

We encourage all parents to have regular ‘internet safety’ talks with their children. Click here to find some helpful links to help with your chats. Then scroll down to the ‘Young People’ section:

Emerging artist brings colour to the library

Emerging artist Leanne Barker is holding her exhibition Colours and Landscapes from today until April 30th.

The Augusta based artist has dedicated a good part of her life to painting.

Capturing the beauty her eyes see the artist shares her inspiration in the form of striking colours and strokes.

The emerging artist works with different mediums as each subject lends itself to a different approach.

“I like pastel the most because they are immediate to use and the colours are amazing,” Leanne explains.

My process……………..

                A moment in time

                An idea sparks

                A lens captures

                A brush with colour

                An inspiration shared………..

Colours and Landscapes is her first solo exhibition and will run from March 13th until April 30th at the Cocoon Gallery for Emerging Artists.

The Margaret River Library will host an art launch on March 25th from 6 to 7pm.

For sales or to RSVP please contact the artist on leda2226@gmail.com

The Margaret River Library is an accessible venue.
