An Artist Talk by Dolores Delia: “What We Consume, Consumes Us”

Thursday 5th October, 6 – 7pm at the Margaret River Library

Dolores is displaying her artworks in the form of earthenware plates in the Cocoon Gallery for Emerging Artists. Come along and help us celebrate the launch of her exhibition and hear about her creative process. Her brief talk will touch on the theme she is addressing with this body of work and this is a great opportunity to meet the artist and learn about her unique style of working. Light refreshments will be provided.

All welcome to this free event. RSVP’s can be sent to Email: amrlibrary@amrshire.wa.gov.au or Phone: 9780 5600

A brief excerpt from the artist bio on display in the Cocoon: “Plate…the vehicle that transports our food. The limit, the measure of the ephemeral pleasure of each meal. A symbol, the foundation of what we put into our bodies, what we eat, and sometimes eats us. What are we putting on our plates? What are we chewing, and ingesting. And by this I mean more than just food. Thinking about what I feed on…Thoughts, feelings, insecurities, body image, concepts…”

The exhibition continues to the end of October.
