The Margaret River Library is showing a display celebrating Medicare’s 40th anniversary.

40 years ago, Medicare was introduced in Australia to help everyone access a wide range of health and hospital services at low or no cost.

To celebrate, the Department of Health and Aged Care has launched a pop-up display in libraries across Australia to showcase the 40-year history of Medicare and provide information about current Medicare services available. Visit our library and check out the historical display.

The display will be on view to the public during library open hours, until the end of August and the Library is easily accessible.
