Cynamon is weaving a basket to hold the library hand puppets. She will be demonstrating how to use the Twine Weaving technique to create the basket and lid, using rope, recycled fabrics and more.
All are welcome to participate in creating the basket by making cord out of strips of fabric, or just come along and pick the brain of our local weaving expert! She will be at the library weaving for two hours so you can have a look or stay for the whole time and enjoy a cuppa.
Free family friendly event with light refreshments provided. The Library is an easily accessible venue.
Award winning author Josh Langley will take participants on a storytelling journey based on his books: ‘Being You is Enough’ and ‘It’s OK to Feel the Way You Do’. Afterwards, Nature Conservation Margaret River Region’s Drew McKenzie will guide a beautiful wildflower walk. Afternoon tea and children’s activities included. Details: The wildflower walk will take a leisurely pace, returning to Rosa Brook Hall in under an hour. Please bring your own hat, water bottle and comfortable footwear. Children’s activities include a natural potion station (BYO smock/apron) and a storytelling tent.
Autism and Homeschooling communities are invited to an afternoon of storytelling with Josh Langley. Award winning author, Josh Langley will take us on a storytelling journey based on his books: ‘Being You is Enough’ and It’s Ok to Feel the Way You Do’. Afternoon tea and children’s activities included. Josh’s talk will focus on feelings and emotions, with a drawing exercise to conclude his talk. This is a free event in an easily accessible venue.
